Yarleen Santiago

Bio
Yarleen won a silver medal in the Mayagüez Central American Games in 2010 (along with Dariam Acevedo) and bronze in the Guadalajara 2011 Pan American Games (along with Yamileska Yantín), in addition to multiple gold medals in Beach Volleyball of the Norceca Tours 2011 and 2012.

In 1995, she began her professional career by participating in the National Superior Volleyball League with Hatillo and Capitanas de Arecibo Cattlemen, obtaining several of the prominent awards of the tournament as Rookie of the Year and Most Valuable Player. That same year, she began representing Puerto Rico in the Volleyball Women’s National Team.

Yarleen Santiago obtained a scholarship at the San Felipe school, where she completed her High School studies. She also received a scholarship from the University of Arkansas, where she obtained her B.S. in ​​communications while playing in Division I of the NCAA. She was named “National Freshman of the Year” in her first year of eligibility.
